After a successful seventh haunted season at the Dugan Mansion, the Adams County Historical Society is turning to events coming up in December.
The haunted mansion activities are the museum’s biggest annual fundraiser, officials said, with all proceeds to be used by the society.,
This year’s haunted mansion was a record setter, with 1,490 visitors.
Led by coordinator Mary Bertsch, 50 volunteers worked the mansion during the haunted season in October, while 15 decorators prepared the building in September.
December events begin the first weekend.
On Saturday, Dec. 2, Santa will be at the mansion for photos, between 4 and 7 p.m. Appointments are necessary and may be made by contacting Sacred Images, (260) 223-1137.

One 5 x 7 print or digital file will be given and additional files will be discounted, museum officials said.
Open house will be held the next day, Sunday, from 1-4 p.m. “Come see the Dugan Mansion all dressed up for the Christmas holidays,” officials said in making the announcement. “Tour the mansion and learn about the Dugan family who lived there. Get in the Christmas spirit with your family and friends.”
No admission will be charged.
The historical society is also planning a Mingle & Jingle Cookie Sale on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum.
Visitors will be able to select Christmas cookies from a handmade assortment at only $5 a box.
