Fred Allen Cameron Jr., 64, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Envive of Hartford City.
He was born in Hartford City on March 11, 1959 to Fred A. Cameron and Loretta (Hodge) Wilson.
Fred graduated from Blackford High School in 1979 and joined the United States Air Force, where he was a Jet Engine Mechanic. After he left the Air Force he worked in maintenance before retiring.
He loved to be outside and feeding the squirrels was one of his favorite pastimes. He would buy bags of nuts and feed from Rural King to make sure they were fed. He liked sports, especially basketball and football.
Fred will be sadly missed by his children, Cory A. Cameron (significant other, April Saam) of Decatur, Cassie L. (husband, Ty) Neuenschwander of Hartford City and Kyle Lee Cameron of Hartford City; grandchildren, Jackson, Eliza, Laney, Ty Jr., Myla, Macy, Tristyn, Kylee and Carson; brothers, Ronald Wilson Jr. of Hartford City and Kyle Cameron of Indianapolis; sister, Heather Cameron of Muncie; ex-wife and mother of his children, Vickie Taylor of Kokomo.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Fred, his mom, Loretta and his dad that helped raise him, Ronald Wilson Sr. and his granddaughter, Leanna.
As per Fred’s wishes, there will be no services and he will be cremated.
