It took the #1 team in 2A in the state of Indiana to finally end Adams Central’s fantastic season, one that included an ACAC tournament championship and an IHSAA Sectional trophy.

One of the most memorable moments of the season came Saturday morning when the Jets plowed through a Central Catholic team that likely had their eyes on Saturday night and forgot about the deadly Jets.

The Jets won convincingly in the opening set, setting the tone for the rest of the morning with a 25-15 victory. LCC came back to win the second set, but AC took the next two sets 25-21, 25-23.

The Owls of Muncie Burris, one of the most storied programs in the state of Indiana, were too much for Adams Central in the finals and they advanced to next week’s semi-state with a 25-10, 25-21, 25-12 victory. The two teams had met earlier in the year and Burris also won that match, 2-0.
