Friday and Saturday are the final two nights the Haunted Trail in Decatur will be open, and the weather is expected to be an improvement over the first week, organizers say.
Wet weather held down the crowd on the first two nights last week, with approximately 500 people hiking the trail.
Approximately 2,000 people took the trail trip over four nights last year, the first year the event was held.
The Haunted Trail is located on the west end of the REV Sports Complex in Hanna-Nuttman Park, and is open from 7-10 p.m. both nights.
The City of Decatur is sponsoring the event, with proceeds to be used for improvements to the city’s parks.
Tickets are $10 and will be on sale at the concession stand in that area only during trail hours; only cash will be accepted.
The Haunted Trail is not recommended for children under the age of 10, officials said, and adult supervision is recommended for anyone under the age of 15.
The trail is a stone path situated in the woods and covers approximately one-quarter of a mile.
