There may not have been any surprises Friday night, but it didn’t make Adams Central’s win over Woodlan any less satisfying for the Jet faithful as they needed just 35 plays to score 45 points and implement a running clock for the eighth time this season in a 45-6 victory at home.
The win means Adams Central will head into the postseason as unbeaten ACAC champs again and they showed just how lethal they are with six different touchdowns scorers in the rout.

To show just how dominant coach Michael Mosser’s team was, fans can look at a lot of stats, but two stood out as the Jet seniors took their picture together in front of the goal posts.
83 – That’s how many yards Aaron Hirschy had on the ground and he was the team’s leading rusher on just three carries.
or
5 – That’s how many punts the Jet defense forced throughout the night. One of those punts was returned 63 yards by Jamison Roach for a touchdown to put the home team up 21-0.

Of course these Jets have not played their final game at Rick Minnich Field.
Far from it.

Adams Central’s quest for another semi-state title will begin next week when they host rival South Adams.

Cam Fravel had seven tackles, one for loss, and a big blocked punt that set up the offense with a short field. Keegan Bluhm took it in from seven yards for the second touchdown of the game after Hirschy scored from 52 yards just 40 seconds into the game on the second play from scrimmage.
In a span of two minutes, QB Jack Hamilton tossed a pair of touchdowns on either side of the quarter break, connecting first with cousin Max Hamilton for a 37-yard score and then later to his favorite target, senior Trevor Currie, from 44 yards out.

Woodlan attempted to gain a foothold, but one of their best plays of the half, a 35-yard completion by Ty Louden to Jayse Kuntz, was called back for a penalty.

Louden finished the night 5 of 13 for just 51 yards. He connected with Carter Fleek late in the fourth quarter for a consolation 11-yard touchdown, throwing the ball to the far shoulder of his receiver in the end zone where only Fleek could catch it. It was the highlight of the night for the visitors, but Woodlan missed the extra point.

Jack Hamilton also scored with his feet, tucking the ball and scampering on a keeper for a 13-yard score in the second quarter to put the Jets up 42-0.
Woodlan would have scored earlier in the second half had it not been for sophomore Braylend Reber, who made a big tackle on the sideline to keep Jake Ley from scoring. Ley finished the night with 109 yards on 25 carries, picking up 42 on the aforementioned play. That drive ended with an interception by Jaret Smith.
Roach played quarterback the last few drives as the Jets attempted to rest as many players as possible in the blowout win. He led the Jets on a drive that ended with Currie splitting the uprights on a 21-yard FG attempt.

Woodlan finished the regular season 2-7 and the Warriors will host Heritage in their sectional opener.
