South Adams won a 26th game in the regular season Thursday night at home against Delta to cap off what may be the best regular season the Starfire program has ever had.

Playing the final volleyball match in their StarDome careers, seniors Macy Pries, Gracy Bixler and Shea Alberson rallied their teammates and came back to win 3-1 after dropping the opening set, 22-25, 25-22, 25-9, 25-20.
Pries (pictured in gallery below) was lethal in her final appearance (on the volleyball court, at least), finishing with 26 kills, a season high. She also had 16 digs.

The Starfires now face a long layoff before playing again in the postseason. They will not take the court until next Saturday afternoon when they take on the winner of Whitko and Bluffton, who will play Thursday night in the Tiger Den.

Alberson equalled Pries’s total of 16 digs in her final home game and Bixler picked up a team-leading three blocks.

Reagan Beitler was exceptional, as usual, with three aces, 20 digs and five kills to go with her 20 assists.
Laney Trausch had eight kills, eight digs, a block and 23 assists.

The Starfire JV team finished its season at 21-6 with a win in three sets over the JV Eagles, 25-19, 23-25, 15-7.
Emmy Hinton and Shelby Weigel led the team with eight kills and Grace Baker had 19 assists.
