Picking up another win in the ACAC, the South Adams Starfires steamed past Southern Wells Tuesday on the same day a new poll ranked the team seventh in Indiana in 2A.
The new prep volleyball rankings confirmed what many in the community already knew about this team. A loss against an Ohio team and the #1-ranked Bellmont Braves are the only blemishes on coach Ashley Buckingham’s team and they made quick work of the Raiders at the Raiderdome.
Leading the way for South Adams was Macy Pries with her eight kills and 11 digs.
Laney Trausch had five service aces, seven digs and 16 assists.
Reagan Beitler added 12 assists, three kills and two aces.
The Starfires will play Bluffton at home Thursday.
