Heritage made the short trip to play Blackhawk Christian on Monday but returned home with an 8-1 defeat at the hands of the Braves.
The team did get a consolation goal from Christian Ramos Morales in the second half, assisted by freshman Damien Martinez.
Twa Rit also put two shots on goal for the Patriots.
Liam Warren made five saves for Heritage.
Blackhawk got a hat trick from Elliott Zimmerman and a brace from Noah Wike.
