After a gut-wrenching, 1-0 loss to the Homestead Spartans in Fort Wayne Wednesday night, the Bellmont Braves are a glutton for more punishment as they make their annual trip to South Bend St. Joseph to play in one of the state’s top girls soccer tournaments this weekend.

Coach Steve Lee’s team will look for its first win of 2023 against South Bend Adams at 6 p.m. Friday night before heading to the hotel for some rest ahead of a long day Saturday. They start with an 11 a.m. game against Munster and finish with Lake Central at 4:30 p.m.
The Braves will return home for a week that sees them play Bishop Dwenger and Columbia City in their NE8 opener.
