This week’s presentation of the Decatur Chamber’s Summer Concert Series will feature an added attraction; the Chamber’s 23rd annual Motor Sports Festival.
So it will be the car show from 4 to 9 p.m. on Second St. downtown and the always popular The Bulldogs from 7 to 9 on the Madison St. Plaza.
This will the first and only appearance by The Bulldogs as part of the 2023 outdoor concerts.
As always, food vendors and adult beverages will be available, and Andy’s Coney Bar will be open.
Another added attraction will be the 6 p.m. plaza performance by the Pinkeyes, a trio of local young women who proved to be a big hit at this year’s concert series opener.
Registration for the Motor Sports Festival – to be held rain or shine – will be from 4-6 p.m., $13 per vehicle; pre-registration is $10.
Street rods, show cars, antique cars, race cars and motorcycles are to be featured.
