The Decatur Chamber’s 2023 Summer Concert Series swings into its final month Thursday, and also swings into a different form of music after three consecutive tribute bands, four if you count the Fourth of July celebration.
And this Thursday will also feature the return of a hometown singer, Aleena York, a Bellmont High School graduate.
Aleena York & The Tall Boys (photo) will offer a variety of music – classic rock, blues and country – on the Madison St. Plaza, from 7-9 p.m.
Leading off the entertainment will be Laci Braun (see photo), a 17-year-old Adams Central student, starting at 6:45 p.m.
The usual food vendors will be on hand, Andy’s Coney Bar will be open, and 2 Pour Guys will provide adult beverages.
No admission will be charged.
Just four concerts will remain on the original schedule after this week, although another has been added in September. E5C4P3, the Journey tribute band washed out of a July 20 appearance by a storm, has been rescheduled for Sept. 21st.
