A downtown Decatur business is marking its 75th anniversary this year with a special celebration which will include a performance by Hubie Ashcraft.
Owners Kevin and Donna Conrad are planning the celebration for next Tuesday, August 1, in the city parking lot behind Two Brothers.
The event will run from 4 to 11 p.m. and feature Hubie Ashcraft from 6-8 p.m.
There will be no admission charge but the Conrads will ask for free-will donations to go to the Adams County Cancer Coalition, “in honor of our loved ones who have battled cancer.”
A corn hole tournament will begin at 5 p.m.
Door prizes will be awarded.
Available food will include rib baskets, cheeseburger baskets, hamburger baskets, sausage burger baskets, shredded pork and beef sandwiches.
Two Brothers went into business in 1947 and is now located in four buildings “with original workmanship exposed since 1892,” its website says.
The two brothers who launched the business were Al and “Cornie” Geimer.
