PRESS RELEASE
Shown is the first 2023 Gale and Donna Nidlinger Memorial Scholar, Willow Morningstar of South Adams, who plans to attend Purdue University this fall with plans to major in pre-veterinary medicine.
Gale and Donna Nidlinger were a well-respected couple in Adams County. Gale was a lifelong Washington Township farmer and a North Adams Community Schools school bus driver for 30 years. He also served on the North Adams School Board and the Union Township Lion’s Club. Donna taught children’s Sunday school class for over 30 years and was active in the Women’s Ministry. She was a beautician and a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. Donna especially enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and crocheting. It is reported that Mr. and Mrs. Nidlinger wanted to provide support to a student who has an interest in helping mankind.
This fund, endowed in the ACCF, will ensure an annual tribute to Gale and Donna Nidlinger’s involvement in our community will be remembered.
