Tom Galdeen, 66, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Tom was a former employee of REV in Decatur and retired from Poseidon Barge in Berne where he worked as a mechanical engineer.
Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beth Galdeen, whom he married on August 15, 1980; and his two sons Matt Galdeen of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Chris Galdeen of Troy, Ohio.
Tom was a 1974 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He received his associates degree in architectural engineering from ITT Technical Institute in Dayton.
Tom enjoyed coaching the Fort Recovery High School baseball teams for many years. He was very active in his Fort Recovery community.
Tom was an organ and tissue donor for transplantation and research purposes.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Guests may visit with Tom’s family on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
