Adams County Republicans have named Kalla Caffee of Berne to run for the position of Berne Clerk-Treasurer.
Current long-time Berne Clerk- Treasurer Gwen Maller did not file for re-election and will retire.
Kalla Caffee is currently unopposed in the fall election. She is currently employed as an accountant for Scott Bollenbacher at Bollenbacher and Associates in Portland where she has worked for the past 15 years. Kalla and her husband Justin reside in Berne and are the parents of three sons.
Caffee graduated from Bluffton University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
