“If you think dunking a donut is fun, wait until you get to dunk a cop!” the Decatur Police Department says in a Facebook post.

Or, maybe you would rather put a firefighter “in the drink.”
Well, at Downtown Decatur Day this Saturday, you can take your pick.
Fire Chief Jeff Sheets and Police Chief Kevin Gerber, along with their various department members, are going to go “badge to badge in a friendly fundraising competition,” the post says.
They are going to set up a dunk tank in front of City Hall around 9 a.m. (the start of the event) to see which department can raise the most money. It will cost $1 a throw or $5 for six.
All proceeds will be turned over to the United Way of Adams County.
“The rules of engagement are simple,” the departments say. “You will choose if you want to dunk a policeman or firefighter when you pay. A member of that department will make their way to the dunk platform and you will then begin your attempts at dunking them.
The departments will keep tabs on which raises the most money.
“Feel free to bring your best one liners, quips, and lame jokes,” the announcement says. “We look forward to this day of friendly rivalry and clean banter, all for a good cause.”
Downtown Decatur Day will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
