ABCinema in downtown Decatur offered a special tribute to veterans over the Memorial Day weekend.
Theater owners Corey and Barb Affolder, and sons Tyler and Carter, reserved a seat in each of their auditoriums for veterans who didn’t return home.
In a Facebook posting, the Affolders said: “At ABCinema we want to remember those who never had an opportunity to see a movie in our auditoriums. This weekend we have reserved them a seat. Please keep these great people in mind as you come in this weekend. If this is your favorite seat, it’s already been taken this weekend. God Bless those who gave all so we can be free and God Bless America!”
The Affolders opened the Monroe St. theater in May of 2017.
The theater has two screens covering two storefronts and shows first-run movies for a mere $5.
