Bellmont earned their first conference win of the season, going 3-2 over Columbia City on a chilly evening on the road.
Olivia Selking, Emy Faurote, and Leila Jin swept the singles courts in straight sets to secure victory for the team.

“All three girls won their first set quickly but fell behind in the second,” noted coach Kyle Arnold after the win. “Olivia was down 1-4 in her second set before storming back to claim the set 6-4. Emy was down 4-5, but broke her opponent’s serve and won the next two games to finish 7-5 in the second set. Leila fell behind 2-3 in the second before rattling off four straight games to win 6-3.”
The Braves had to tweak their lineup with Kaelyn Snyder’s typical partner, Alyssa Coffey, out with an illness. In stepped freshman Lillian Jin and the team played well.
Bellmont’s JV team won 7-5
