
In high school baseball, South Adams defeated Fort Recovery on Monday evening at the Harry Anderson Field by a score of 9-0 behind the one-hit pitching of Derek Weaver. The Starfires broke the game open with 7 runs in the third inning. South Adams had nine runs on six hits and Fort Recovery no runs on only one hit.
For the Starfie hitting attack, Derek Weaver had a double and scored a run, Kyle Minger had a single with two RBIs and one run scored, Caleb Hirschfeld had a single with an RBI and one run scored, Owen Wanner walked once and scored a run, Brady Beall walked once with an RBI and a run scored, Corey Lennington single with 2 RBI’s and a run scored, River Toledo walked once and scored a run, Hunter Konger walked once and scored a run, Luke Bauman singled and drove in a run, Gavin Myers had an RBI and Matt Steiner singled and scored one run.

Derek Weaver pitched the entire game, allowing just one hit, no runs, he walked four and struck out four.
