The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) that the Berne Recreation Facilities, a nonprofit organization created for the Berne City Public Pool, received a grant recently. Every summer the Berne city pool serves the community by providing affordable entertainment for many individuals and families, giving them a place to enjoy hot summer days. The security system will provide surveillance and security at the Berne city pool.
Heath Moser, co-manager of the Berne City Pool and grant writer, expressed appreciation to the ACCF for this support, which has allowed the Berne Recreation Facilities to purchase and install a security system at the Berne City Pool. Chris Pierce, ACCF grants committee member noted that the ACCF is pleased to support this cause.
This ACCF grant was made possible through the Berne Ready Mix Community Enrichment Fund. Berne Ready Mix began in 1949 and has expanded into the respected company it is today. The Gene and Nancy Subler family are the recognized personalities when entering this business in Berne. The intent of this fund is to provide an annual tribute to the continued support of this community by Berne Ready Mix and its stockholders.
