An emotional Krista Miller McElhatten signed off WPTA-TV in Fort Wayne for the final time Friday evening, thanking those who watched her and supported her during her 3 ½ years with the Fort Wayne ABC station.
Miller also revealed that her husband, Brien McElhatten, has taken a position as a news anchor with a Salt Lake City TV station and that the family will be living in Salt Lake City.
She indicated that for the time being she would be a stay-at-home mom with their two-year-old daughter.

Miller’s last newscast was from 7-7:30 p.m. Friday.
Her departure follows the sudden apparent firing of her husband and co-anchor in mid-August. An interview between McElhatten and congressman Jim Banks, which was seen by many as the impetus for the anchor’s removal, is no longer available on the station’s website.
