Teresa Gail (Brock) Smith 64, of Markle, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her home in Markle.
Teresa was born on August 24, 1958, to Herman and Dora Brock in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She attended Snider High School and married Kid Coy Smith on July 29, 1978, in Fort Madison, Iowa. Teresa enjoyed fellowshipping with peers, volunteering at Grace & Mercy, and being a homemaker caring for her family. She always had an open ear to be there for anyone in need. She had a talent for fundraising, especially the winter Cookie Walk, where she raised thousands of dollars for Grace & Mercy. Her mission in life was to share the gospel with anyone she met, and her personable and warm nature was a true gift.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Dora Brock, daughter, Kayla Malinda Stirlen, grandson, Gabe Norris, infant brother, Elisha Brock, brother, Kenny Brock, and sister, Wanda Brock.
Loving survivors include her husband, Kid Coy Smith of Markle, IN, son, Brandon (Cassandra) Smith of Berne, IN, daughter Angie (Matt) Norris of Markle, IN, grandchildren, Gabrielle Smith, Elizabeth Norris, Braden Smith, Makayla Smith, and Vanessa Smith, and sister, Wilma Holland Fontana.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Bluffton Church of God, located at 327 W Cherry St. Bluffton, IN 46714, from 4pm to 8pm and again on Saturday from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11am with Pastor Gary Aupperle officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
