A gutsy performance at No. 1 singles by Reid Abbett helped the Bluffton Tigers to win their third straight sectional title in boys tennis in straight sets Thursday over South Adams.
Taking on Starfire ace Kade Sprunger, Abbett dropped the first set in a tiebreak, but came back to win each of the next two sets 6-2.
The Tigers did not drop a set in any of the other four matchups.
Bluffton will face Huntington North on Tuesday in a battle of two teams who used to be in the same sectional. The winner will play for a regional championship against the winner of Peru and Homestead. All of those matches will be played in Bluffton.
