The Decatur of Commerce’s annual Summer Concert Series passes the halfway point Thursday in a return to country music.
This week’s event will be the seventh in the series, with six remaining on the Madison St. Plaza.

After a June 25 concert featuring country music came two weeks or rock ‘n roll, so this week it’s back to the country sounds, this time provided by Strait Jack.
The five-man band says it plays “authentic country,” featuring the music of George Strait and Alan Jackson, “along with other top country artists from yesterday to today.”
The concert will run from 7 to 9 p.m., according to the Chamber, with no admission charge.
As always, food trucks will be on site and adult beverages will be provided by The Oasis Pub.

Strait Jack is comprised of Joel Young, Luke Landis, Gary Martin, Bob Creater, Ed Couture.
The band performs throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. It played Hoagland Days in June and has a July 30 date set for Monroeville.
