Paul Derickson, age 88, of Elkhart, IN, formerly of Geneva passed away at 5:10 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Elkhart Meadows in Elkhart, IN. He was born on Tuesday, October 5, 1937, in Geneva, IN. to the late Ralph L. Derickson and Alpha E. (Brewster) Derickson. Growing up in Geneva, IN. Paul was home schooled. He spent his early years in the Geneva area before moving to the South Bend area where had lived for over 45 years. Paul enjoyed spending time with his cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Junior Derrickson, sisters, Pauline Luckinbill, Elvie Bietler, and Ruby Plummer.
He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at Riverside Cemetery Geneva, IN. at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2026 with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
