Trenton Norton entered the game in the fourth inning with his team trailing and shut down the Adams Central Jets’ offense, striking out six over 3.2 innings of work to earn the victory in Blackford’s 8-6 win in Monroe Thursday night.

After Norton came on in the fourth, he struck out a batter, but then gave up a fly ball to right that was dropped, allowing two runs to score as Adams Central took a 6-3 lead thanks to Colston Pruitt. Andy Geels and Jami Roach both scored on the play and the home team looked to be in control.
Blackford got back in the game with a rally in the next half inning, helped out by two Adams Central errors and an untimely walk.

Another error cost the Jets again in the sixth, with Blackford leveling the game at six runs apiece.
Two walks issued in the seventh inning then provided all the baserunners the Bruins needed to win the game.

Penn Shifferly drove in two runs with a single for Adams Central. Jami Roach had a hit and scored twice, picking up a stolen base along the way.
Kolten Combs started the game and was charged with two earned runs over his four innings. Jacob Miller took the loss with two innings of work and three runs allowed. Colston Pruitt came on in relief once the winning run was on base. He was not charged with a run in his inning of relief.
