Reid Abbott claimed medalist honors for the Bluffton Tigers and his round of 75 gave them a good cushion to win the team race comfortably over the Bellmont Braves Saturday at Wabash Valley Golf Course.

Abbott’s outstanding round included eight pars and a double bogey on No. 6 on the front nine. His Back Nine was made up of a pair of bogeys and seven pars. He was backed up by teammate Gibson Grieser, who actually shot a tournament-best 37 on the front and a 39 on the back for a 76.

Bellmont’s Cam Summers was only one stroke off the medalist mark with his own 76. He birdied No. 1, No. 2 and No. 9 for a back and forth back Front Nine. The Braves’ No. 1, Chase Baker, broke 80 with a round of 39-40.
