A week after dropping just their second game of the season in a tough loss at Norwell, the Bellmont Braves waited an extra 18 hours to take on Huntington North, ultimately coming away with a 50-25, “double ’em up” victory against the Vikings.
Lanie French knocked down two threes and led the Braves with a 12-point night.

The real story, however, was the Bellmont defense. Huntington North managed just one bucket from Addi Richardson in the first quarter and the Vikings had just one free throw from Richardson and a two-point field goal from Kendal DeHaven in the second. They trailed 30-5 at the halftime whistle.
The third quarter belonged to Bri Converset. The lone senior who stuck with the team this year was rewarded with the spotlight on Senior Afternoon. She rewarded the team with three baskets on her way to a great eight-point performance on the afternoon.
