Norwell and Bluffton went head to head Saturday at their home course, Timber Ridge, with the Knights eventually coming out on top in the team race for the 2025 Bi-County tournament with a five-stroke victory.

Norwell ended the tournament with three of the top five individual scores to earn the victory.

Bellmont’s Ella Hockemeyer had an excellent round of 88, setting an example for the rest of the Braves, who played overall some of their best golf of the season to shoot 391 and beat Adams Central.

The Jets were led by Londyn Smith’s 93. Smith was much better on the back, where she shot 42. Only the two Norwell aces, Ellie Gatton and Savanna Simerman, were better on the back than Smith (and they both shot 41).

South Adams struggled throughout the day and the team’s scoring was not at its usual level. Brooklyn Green led the way with a 108.

All six teams will enjoy their holiday and the sporting week will begin on Tuesday, with a chance for revenge for Adams Central. They’ll host Bellmont at Wabash Valley.

South Adams will also get a chance to show what they can do on a more familiar setting. They’ll host Bluffton Tuesday, as well.
