A Geneva man previously reported arrested is now facing multiple felony charges related to alleged child molestation incidents spanning a two-year period, according to court documents filed in Adams Circuit Court.
Robert Beaman, 67, was formally charged July 9 with five counts of child molesting, including one Level 1 felony and four Level 4 felonies. The charges stem from allegations that Beaman engaged in inappropriate conduct with a child under the age of 14 between January 2022 and December 2023 in Adams County.

The most serious charge, a Level 1 felony, carries a sentencing range of 20 to 40 years in prison. Each Level 4 felony carries a potential sentence of two to 12 years.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the investigation began after the alleged victim came forward with detailed statements, which were supported by additional witnesses. Among those listed as witnesses are members of the victim’s family, as well as individuals familiar with the case.
Beaman was taken into custody following the filing of charges and made an initial appearance in court. He remains in custody as legal proceedings continue.
Due to the sensitive nature of the allegations and the age of the alleged victim, authorities have withheld further identifying details. The Adams County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The case is being prosecuted by Adams County Prosecutor Jeremy Brown.
