Krystal Marie Benzinger, 35 of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with addiction; the illness that stole her sparkle.

Krystal’s smile was infectious. She had a beautiful, adventurous, and free spirited soul with the biggest heart that was filled with love for her family and friends. Krystal was a lover of music and animals and was always the life of the party, never leaving a dull moment or missed opportunity to make memories.
She was born on June 24, 1990 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Laura (Benzinger) Adams. She was the chosen daughter of Matt Adams and also Scott (Jodi) Claxton. She was the sister of Kyler (Jessica) Adams and Keaton Adams, the granddaughter of Donna (Dale) Compton, Ed Claxton, and Donald (Karen) Adams. Krystal also had many aunts, uncles and cousins and was blessed with several nieces and nephews. Krystal also leaves behind her fiancée, Brenton Boneschans.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Janet Claxton.
Krystal attended South Adams High School and went on to become the mother of Xavier, Zayleigh and Zane.
Krystal now is at peace, her sparkle no longer dimmed. She will be deeply missed by all.
