Three hours of the area’s finest rhythm and blues will light up the Madison St. Plaza in Decatur Thursday night when the Sweetwater All-Star Band comes to down.
One of the most popular bands to perform on the plaza each year, the band will start cranking up the three hours of music at 6 p.m.
It will be the only plaza appearance of the Sweetwater bunch this year.
No admission is charged for this second round of the Decatur Chamber’s Summer Concert Series.
Food vendors will be available, along with adult beverages provided by the Mirage’s Oasis Pub.

Nine people make up the Fort Wayne-based Sweetwater All-Stars, including Brett Kelsey on the trumpet. Kelsey has has strong ties to Adams County – specifically, the Pleasant Mills area – and his numerous cousins who live in and around Decatur are likely to be on hand Thursday.
Also in the band is the well-known Chuck Surack, who founded the group. He is, of course, the owner of the nationally-known Sweetwater music company and a Fort Wayne entrepreneur.
Other members of the band are: Lisa McDavid (vocals), Bob Bailey (vocals, guitar), Andrew Glasmacher (vocals, drums), Rolin Mains (vocals, keyboards), Dave Martin (bass), Jay Jehl (trombone), and Matt Schuler (trumpet)
