Two games and two big wins. That’s the Adams Central record against Woodlan in 2025 after the Jets knocked the Warriors out of this year’s state tournament with a 10-2 victory as Cade Van De Weg and Jamison Roach combined on two-hitter to put the hosts in the semifinal game of the local 2A baseball sectional.

Max Byerly and Hayden Bluhm each had three hits to lead the AC batting attack.

Drew Fleek’s single to lead off the bottom of the first was the only hit allowed by Van De Weg in four innings of work. Fleek later scored with two outs to cut Adams Central’s lead to 2-1.

The Jets had gotten RBI singles from Bluhm and Jacob Miller to lead off the game and they scored twice more in the second to give Van De Weg plenty of cushion.
The lefty starter’s final contribution to the game was to strike out the side in the fourth after hitting the leadoff batter. Roach took the ball to start the fifth and only allowed a triple to Fleek, who scored again on a groundout for the only hit and run allowed by Jamison.

Van De Weg also beat Woodlan with his bat, doubling in a run and later scoring in the seventh as the Jets extended their lead to put the Warriors away.
