Kathleen M. “Kathy” Rodgers, 83, a life-long resident of Decatur, passed away Thursday morning, May 15, 2025, at Plainfield Health Care Center. She was born on July 7, 1941, in Decatur, IN, the daughter of the late Lester and Evelyn (Reber) Adler.
She was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. Kathy was a Home Economics Teacher, a Special Education Teacher’s Aide and spent countless hours sewing numerous dresses for weddings.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Todd) Adkins of Avon, IN; her son, Bret (Le Anne) Rodgers of Muncie, IN; a brother, Dale (Cindy) Adler of Decatur, IN; a sister, Wanda (Dale) Bieberich of Decatur, IN; 7 grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Emily & Madilyn Rodgers, Alexandria, Corbin & Summer Adkins.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Coleen F. Adler.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Pleasant Dale Church. Jay Carter will be officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service from Noon – 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Pleasant Dale Church.
