Emilia Garcia tossed seven no-hit innings to lead Carroll to a 4-1 win to knock off unbeaten Heritage Monday night.
The Patriots’ only baserunners came on five walks and a Charger error.
Despite going without a hit, the Patriots were in contention for the win throughout the night, leveling the game at 1-1 by pushing a run across in the bottom of the fifth.
Hadlee Shipp drove in the run after April Renninger walked and took second on a successful sacrifice bunt.
Danica Fuller also pitched well, but two key errors by the Patriot defense allowed three unearned runs to score. Fuller struck out ten and allowed seven hits.
The Patriots will host Bellmont in the featured game of the night Wednesday. The contest will be heard live on 92.7 FM with first pitch at 5 p.m.
