The outdoor track and field season officially got underway at the new-look Bellmont facility and the Braves christened it with a big win over rival Adams Central.
Notes & Times
-Parker Frietas ran career bests in both hurdle events.
-Sophomore Hudson Krull equaled his best high jump from last season in the first outdoor meet of the year to win for the Braves.
-Finally back in his own facility, senior Jack Riehm matched his career best in the pole vault and helped his freshman understudy, Landon Sielschott, reach the same mark (7-06) to start the season.
-AC’s Carter Beaver had a career best and finished third in the shot put.
-Zayne Roop’s growth as a thrower continued for the Braves. He finished just short of his best shot distance from the indoor season and also set a new personal best in the disc, moving his mark from 89-09 to 104-04 with his fourth-place finish.
