Contracts with Root ($25,124.48) and Washington ($18,564.36) townships were approved earlier.
The city has mutual aid pacts with Preble and Monroe townships, each of which has a volunteer fire department.
LOSING TWO: Decatur’s fire department has lost two members of its volunteer, or paid on-call, force.
Justin Weil and Darrell Drake recently resigned and their resignations were approved by the board of works.
TWO OTHERS: Meanwhile, two City of Decatur employees have moved on.
The resignations of Paul Scheumann and Greg Peterson also were approved.
Peterson left for a job with a chemical company in Fort Wayne, the board noted, while Scheumann vacated his job with the water department for a position with the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
