Riginia Joyce Wilkins, 83, of Berne, IN, passed away at 11:11 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on January 10, 1941, in Berne, IN. She married Thomas Eugene Wilkins on June 30, 1960 in the Mennonite Church in Berne, IN. Joyce was a graduate of Berne French High School. She was employed at CTS in Berne, IN for short time and then helped her husband, Tom, with Tree’s Drive-In and the car wash, both businesses in Berne, IN, which they owned for a number of years.

Joyce was a member and faithful attendee of High Street Church in Geneva, IN. She also enjoyed horticulture & gardening, solving word search puzzles, card making/stamping, bargain shopping, and spending time with her family.
Loving survivors include her sons Scott Wilkins, Geneva, IN, Troy (Tanya) Wilkins, Berne, IN, Tim Wilkins, Berne, IN, daughter Teresa (Cory) Reckard, Poneto, IN, brothers Van (Sharon) Wulliman, Berne, IN, and Roscoe Wulliman, Berne, IN, sisters Grace (Ron) Claghorn, Berne, IN, and Gyneth (Mike) Sutton, Berne, IN, and sisters-in-law Marge Wulliman, Berne, IN, and Jayne Wilkins, Ft. Wayne, IN.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Jameson (Stacey) Wilkins, Plant City, FL, Danielle (Austin) Hammontree, Geneva, IN, Nathan Wilkins (Kathleen), Tampa, FL, Shane Wilkins, Berne, IN, Whitney (John) Cress, North Raleigh, NC, Coleton Wilkins, Berne, IN, Cheyann (Daniel) Goodin, Norfolk, VA, Jared Reckard, Chicago, IL, Kara Gillespie (Grant), Brownsburg, IN, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Eugene Wilkins, father Curtis Wulliman, mother Gertrude (Sprunger) Wulliman, sister Roberta Bertsch, brother Clyde Wulliman, brother-in-law Rick Wilkins, and sisters-in-law Lois Wulliman and Connie Wulliman.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, IN for viewing on Friday, November 22 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A service to celebrate her life will also be at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva, IN on Saturday at 11:00 AM, with viewing one hour prior, with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.
