Matt Heiser carried the workload and ran for 131 yards and three touchdowns to lead Adams Central to their tenth consecutive sectional championship game, beating Churubusco 35-8.
Heiser had the only points in the first quarter of a slow-developing game with a three-yard run that made it 7-0 with a couple minutes to play.
The Jets dominated the second quarter and Heiser closed out the half with a second touchdown in the dying seconds to put AC up 27-0.

Aaron Hirschy had 47 yards rushing on 12 carries and a touchdown.
Jamison Roach completed three passes, all to Braylend Reber, for 75 yards. They connected on a 51-yard pass for a touchdown in the first half.

Adams Central chose to trigger the running clock by going for two after Heiser’s third-quarter touchdown run. Coach Michael Mosser called Heiser’s number on the two-point try and he converted, making the score 35-0 and speeding up the rest of the night.

Heiser also added two tackles for loss on the other side of the ball.
Churubusco scored a consolation touchdown with two minutes left in the game to avoid the shutout.

Max Kaehr led the Jets with seven tackles.
The Jets also confirmed their status as the road team in the sectional championship, while also ensuring that they would return home for a regional game.

Adams Central will play at Eastside for the sectional title. The Jets won 43-0 against the Blazers in Week 2.

The winner of Eastern (Greentown) and Tipton would travel to Monroe for a potential regional game if the Jets can repeat their defeat of Eastside next week.
