Larry D. Carter, 70, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne.
He was born on March 14, 1953, in Connersville, Indiana to the late Curtis Carter and Thelma(Anthony) Carter.
Larry was united in marriage to Virginia Honey, she preceded him in death in 2013. He then married Darcine Butler on October 24, 2015 at Decatur Lighthouse Assemblies of God, she survives.
He was a member of Decatur Lighthouse Assemblies of God.
Larry was a forklift driver for Masterbrand Cabinets for 37 years.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending old car shows, and building model car constructions. Larry’s favorite to do was spending time with his granddaughter, Adora and great-granddaughter, Nova.
Larry is survived by his wife, Darcine Carter of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Patricia Wilson of Goshen, Indiana; son, Randall “Joe” Wilson of Goshen, Indiana; son, Friddie (Erica) Wilson of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wilson of Gas City, Indiana; step-daughter, Amanda (Brian) Forster of Decatur, Indiana; step-daughter, Brianne (Bryan) Bergman of Berne, Indiana; step-daughter, Tammy Quinn of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Kathy Smothers of Goshen, Indiana; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife; he was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Wilson and a brother, Curtis Carter.
A memorial service to be held at a later date.
