Decatur Fire Chief Jeff Sheets has announced the promotion of Taylor Gage as the department’s Training Captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gage, 34, has spent 16 years in the fire service, beginning with a four-year term as a member of the Preble Volunteer Fire Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After four years as a volunteer with the Decatur FD, he has spent the past eight years as a full-time member of the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 2007 graduate of Bellmont High School, Gage has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taylor and his wife, the former Brean Smith, have two children, ages three and one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the owner-operator of TG Concrete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
