Not wanting to lose out on the opportunity to compete in the face of the canceled Oak Hill Relays, coaches and administrators from Bellmont and Adams Central quickly scrambled and threw together a track meet at Worthman Stadium for the two schools on less than 24 hours notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Notes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont senior Trevor Smith, who also won the 100, set a new season mark in winning the 200 in 24 seconds flat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Aaron Hirschy, the top sprinter for the Jets, ran his best time of the year in 25.40 and took second. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Nick Smith broke the minute mark in the 400 for the first time and won the event with a PR of 57.90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont\u2019s John Riehm ran a strong 400 and took third with a personal best time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont freshman Drake Scheumann won the 800 with a PR of 2:23.20, beating AC\u2019s Vince Laukhuf, who also turned in a lowered season best of his own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Trevor Schwartz and Logan Clark reprised their roles as mile specialists for the Jets and Schwartz took first, while Clark ran a career best 5:22.40 to take second.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hayden Whittenbarger ran a PR to finish third behind Clark and Schwartz for the home team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Trevor Schwartz cut eleven seconds from his time on Tuesday to finish second for the Jets in the 3200 behind veteran Bellmont runner Elijah Obringer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Senior Bellmont athlete Noah Short cut .4 from his time Thursday to win the 110 hurdles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont freshman Xavior Palacios cut nearly a second from his PR in the 110 hurdles to finish third as the Braves swept the points from Adams Central. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Short also ran a PR in the 300 hurdles, which he also won. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont\u2019s Ben Sprague added four inches to his season best in the long jump to win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Cashton Reynolds set a new PR in the discus with a distance of 126-09, finishing second to teammate Trenton Hoffman, who continues to throw near the 150 mark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont\u2019s Alex Schirack was third in the disc with a new PR of 114-10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
