Nicholas Paul Comment, 34, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was born on April 6, 1989 in Decatur, Indiana to Anthony \u201cTony\u201d Comment and Peggy (Gerke) Comment-Huntley.                         
Nick\u2019s life partner was Candise Woodruff, and they were together since they were both 14 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nick was a very loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin.  He loved his family with all his heart, especially his baby girl, Octavia. She was the love of his life, and was his whole world.  Nick had a great sense of humor and a zest for life; he loved living life on the edge. Nick loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and would ride any chance he had.  He loved listening to music and going to rock concerts, even crowd-surfing at the most recent show.  Nick found peace in the outdoors and had a keen interest in reptiles.  He would often go to Reptile Expos and had quite a collection of his own. Nick was very artistic and liked to use his body as a canvas.  He loved tattoos!  He was confident, bold and outspoken; he never knew a stranger and had a way of drawing people in.   He had big dreams and goals.  Nick had a heart of gold.  He was a free spirit and lived by the saying \u201cLive to Ride, Ride to Live.\u201d ~ Rock On, Little Cub~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survivors include his daughter, Octavia LaDawn Comment of Lakeland, Florida; life partner, Candise Woodruff of Lakeland, Florida; father, Anthony \u201cTony\u201d Paul Comment of Decatur, Indiana; mother, Peggy (Jim Huntley) Comment-Huntley of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Jamie (Brad) Alberson of Warsaw, Indiana; brother, Josh (Angie) Comment of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Samantha Comment of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Brook Huntley of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Cody (Analiesa Bishop) Huntley of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Chloe Huntley of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Faith Huntley of Decatur, Indiana; nieces, Savannah Comment, Nevaeh Comment, Zoey Comment, Sadie Pyle, Kehlani Huntley, and Taylor Pratt; nephews, Jaylon Broadnax, Gavin Comment, Xander Comment, Will Brown, Cevan Miller, Aiden Alberson, Owen Alberson, and Landon Pratt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nick was preceded in death by a sister, Tasha Comment on September 24, 2016; and maternal grandparents, Kathy Hackman and Gail Gerke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family and friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preferred memorial can be given to the family- checks payable to Anthony Comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
