It took 11 innings Friday night but the Adams Central Flying Jets finally put away New Haven for a 6-4 win, then went on to whallop the Bulldogs in the second game to move to 5-2 this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adams Central scored a run in each of the first two innings, first with a sac fly from Keagan Bluhm and then on a longball by Logan Uhlman, but New Haven clawed back with runs in the fourth and sixth innings off Jet starter Dakota Perry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan Uhlman took over in the seventh after Perry threw 82 pitches and worked two scoreless innings, taking the game into the ninth, where both teams scored a run. Perry drew a one-out walk and was knocked in by Jack Hamilton, but the Bulldogs answered with a two-run out of their own against reliever Keagen Combs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ironically, it was a strikeout by Perry that allowed him to reach in the eleventh as he took first on a passed ball and then went to third on Cade Van De Weg\u2019s double. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Hamilton was the hero again, knocking in both teammates against a new reliever and then he came around to score on a double by Ryan Tester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combs shut down the Bulldogs after allowing a run, striking out the final two batters to end the marathon opening game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
