Trick of Treat Night is always extremely busy in Stratton Place in Decatur, so a traffic limitation was requested by some of the residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One resident, Nan Everett, asked council if traffic could be limited to one direction during the two hours (5:30-7:30) set aside for trick or treating, this year on Tuesday, Oct. 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCars are going every which way\u201d on that night, Everett said, and some people think a one-way traffic pattern would provide some safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe question is, how do you control the general public,\u201d Councilman Matt Dyer asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others wanted to know how news of the situation could be advanced to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police Chief Kevin Gerber said he could have an officer at Stratton during the two hours.
It was decided to use some barricades to help control the traffic, and any other possible means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Dan Rickord said he wanted to have Gerber and Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert go to Stratton and check out the possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
