If the #2 Adams Central Flying Jets had a #7 on their roster, he probably would have scored on Friday night. Nevertheless, AC cruised to an easy victory against the last-place Southern Wells Raiders, 49-7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trevor Currie even hit all seven extra points in a night that really didn’t have any surprises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarterback Jack Hamilton had a perfect night, throwing the ball just three times and completing each pass, going twice for scores. In a matter of less than four minutes, Hamilton hit Cam Smith for a 30-yard score and then hit Trevor Currie on a long, 66-yard touchdown. Currie’s catch made the score 21-0 after Keegan Bluhm had opened the scoring with a six-yard run just two minutes into the contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bluhm finished the night with just four touches totaling 41 yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaron Hirschy scored on the first play of the second quarter from 12 yards out to make it 28-0 and Hamilton kept it himself for the team’s fifth touchdown, scoring from 46 yards out. Hirschy scored again later in the game and finished as the team’s leading rusher with 51 yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 42-0 halftime lead put the game into a running clock situation, but Southern Wells did show some promise on a long, 14-play drive that nearly took the entire third quarter with that accelerated clock. The drive ended with a six-yard touchdown run by Case Boxell, giving Southern Wells just their seventh touchdown of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boxell led all players in the game with 60 yards rushing on 13 carries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southern Wells quarterback Trey Slusher threw just one pass in the game, a 13-yard completion to Boxell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamison Roach had a score late in the fourth quarter from 17 yards out to finish off the scoring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Raiders ran 44 offensive plays and finished with just 96 yards of offense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
