Esther Eileen (Teeple) Adams, 95, of Berne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Swiss Village in Berne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born on July 9, 1928, to her parents, the late Albert Teeple and late Leona (Bartling) Teeple. \u00a0She was married to Ora S. Adams for 52 years, before his passing on September 22, 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esther was a former member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church for many years.  She worked at CTS as an operator\/inspector for 10 years.  In addition, Esther was a farmer\u2019s wife for most of her lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esther loved to travel out west.  She lived in Surprise, Arizona for six months out of the year, for over 20 years.  Esther\u2019s great passion for traveling has taken her to every state in the United States, except Alaska. Some of her favorite places to visit were Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and Yellow Stone National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esther is survived by her four sons and one daughter, Richard Adams of Carmel, IN; Kim (Mary Ann) Adams of Greenwood, IN; Terry Adams of Highlands Ranch, CO; Joe (Julie) Adams of Berne, IN; Penny Adams Carrigan of Berne, IN; brother, Albert (Shirley) Teeple of Sun City, AZ; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Hall, Joshua Adams, Elizabeth (Brandon) Fruechte, Landon Hough, Matthew (Jesica) Adams, Jennifer Hough, Sean (Kristi) Adams, Christopher (Alyssa) Adams, Adam Hough, Ryan Adams, Christine (Robby) Lyles, Benjamin Adams and Ariel Adams; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esther was preceded in death by her eight siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, Indiana with Pastor Mike Wertenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Tricker Cemetery in rural Monroe, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
