Light it up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s what the Porter Family Foundation has done to the ball diamond it sponsors at the REV Sports Complex in Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Porter family has turned over a donation of $125,000 to the Decatur Park Board to cover the cost of lighting the field at the west end of the complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It becomes the first of the six diamonds in the complex to have lights erected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are lights on four poles at the Formula Field waiting to be hooked up by Bleeke Electric. The Porter family owns and operates Formula Boats in Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musco Lighting of Dublin, Ohio, installed the lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Larry Isch, president of the park board, said anyone wishing to donate funds to light another diamond, or to make a donation to the complex, should contact him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
