{"id":6697,"date":"2023-09-19T05:53:39","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T09:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=6697"},"modified":"2023-09-19T05:53:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T09:53:40","slug":"berne-officer-hits-the-dance-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/19\/berne-officer-hits-the-dance-area\/","title":{"rendered":"Berne officer hits the dance area"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of Thursday night&#8217;s An Evening with Adams Health Network (AHN) Senior Living event on the Madison St. Plaza in Decatur came when a security officer took to the dance floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the crowd cheering, veteran Berne police officer Wes Haight came onto the dancing area in front of the stage to join Linda Bixler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haight and a sheriff&#8217;s department officer were hired to provide security for the night, which featured The Bulldogs band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bixler, a regular at outdoor concerts, had in recent days observed her 74<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday.
