{"id":6274,"date":"2023-09-08T13:19:50","date_gmt":"2023-09-08T17:19:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=6274"},"modified":"2023-09-08T13:19:52","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T17:19:52","slug":"street-work-to-begin-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/09\/08\/street-work-to-begin-next-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Street work to begin next week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resurfacing of a large number of Decatur streets is expected to begin next week, Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert told city council at its latest meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooks Construction is nearly finished revamping 52 handicapped ramps, and then will begin milling of streets next week, Gilbert said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milling is the process of removing the top layer of asphalt to a specified and even depth without disturbing the underlying subbase. Fifth St. from Adams to Patterson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N. Ninth St. from Nuttman to Dayton Ave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;St. from Monroe to Nuttman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John St. from Fifth to Third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fifth St. from Lopez Lane to Elm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;St. from Elm to dead-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monmouth Rd. from Second St. to Piqua Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locally funded projects follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley behind 133 St. 10<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;St. from Madison to Jefferson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley behind 104 N. 10<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;St. from Madison to Monroe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley behind 512 Washington St. from Meibers to Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley behind 1003 Mix Ave. from Washington to Second St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley behind 911 Jefferson T. from Jefferson to Adams St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alley beside 221 S.
